1. Use of Service
BetterServe is a platform for discovering and listing local businesses. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
2. Business Listings
Business owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listing information. Misleading content may result in suspension.
3. No Warranty of Listed Businesses
BetterServe is a discovery platform only. We do not vet, endorse, warrant, or guarantee any business, individual, product, or service listed on the platform, nor the accuracy of any claim made by a listed business. Engaging with, purchasing from, or otherwise using the products or services of any business found through BetterServe is done entirely at your own risk and is a matter between you and that business directly — BetterServe is not a party to that transaction and accepts no responsibility for it.
We encourage you to take sensible precautions before engaging with any business: verify their contact details and credentials, be wary of requests for upfront payment before work is done or goods are delivered, favour secure and traceable payment methods, and check reviews from other users. If you suspect a listing is fraudulent, misleading, or being used to scam users, please report it to us at info@betterserve.co.za so we can investigate.
4. Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences. Fake reviews, whether positive or negative, are prohibited.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via PayFast. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with South African Consumer Protection Act requirements.
6. Intellectual Property
Content you upload (logos, photos, descriptions) remains yours. You grant BetterServe a licence to display it on the platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
BetterServe is provided "as is". We are not liable for losses arising from use of the platform beyond what is required by applicable law.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
